I had just gotten into an accident about a week ago. It was a pretty bad one and I feel lucky to be alive and in one piece. I truly believe that my guardian angels were with me that day. I suffered a broken left leg, a fractured skull and a few broken ribs. Still, I feel really lucky, because it could have been a lot worse.

I was driving my Dad's classic car at the time of the accident. The car was totaled. I was scared to face him after I woke up in the hospital because I know just how much he had put into that car. Even went to a school that specializes in the classic cars.

Before the accident happened, I was an automatic driving lessons course that my job had recommended that all the employees should take. I thought I was doing really well and even felt confident that I would pass the final that was coming up in just a week. With the automatic driving lessons, they also offer test you can take to help with lowering your car insurance for driving safely. I have never heard of this before and thought I would give it a try.

I am now lying here in this bed at the hospital just thankful for my life. I think that the automatic driving lessons I took maybe have helped me to save my own life. Because one of the things that I was taught was how to get your car back into control after a tire has blown out. That is what happened to me when I crashed. I was driving down the highway when my tire had blown out and by taking the automatic driving lessons the week before, I knew what to do. It really happened so fast but my reflects told me what to do and I just did it. I'm sure that it could have been a lot worse if I had not taken the lessons and didn't know how to handle it.

So whenever there is an opportunity for me to improve my driving skills with lessons in car safety, you better believe it that I am going to jump at the chance. It always good to be as prepared as possible in those kind of situations. Even if you think you are a good driver and don't need a lesson, getting a refresher course is always a good idea.
