I wanted to help my sister in learning driving a car. I knew she had been waiting for the opportunity to enjoy driving. But, on second thought, I felt it would be better for her to take the lessons at a reputed driving school. So, I recommended her to go to a driving school where therewere female driving instructors.

That was an excellent plan. She was very fortunate to have one of the best female driving instructors at the school. The lessons began with the theories. She did not make the marks in the theory test the first time. In any case, it was good experience for her what to expect at the theory test.When she went for the test the second time, she was so nervous. But, to her big surprise, she passed the theory test with flying colours.

I let my sister use my classic car in taking the driving lessons. That would give her the feel of driving a classic car. Her driving instructor was in agreement with the idea of using a classic car in practice driving.

The instructor emphasized on defensive driving, and was very systematic in teaching about the road signs. She stayed very strict in having the student driver watch the road signs at all times to be sure that the student driver maintained defensive driving. My sister appreciated the instructions and followed them properly. In fact, I was very impressed with the progress she was making driving wonderfully. I was quite confident she would become an excellent driver.

She was again a bit nervous when she went for the driving test. Her instructor was always so helpful in making her have the confidence.

To every one's disappointment, she failed at the test for missing to see the "stop" sign, and went on without stopping. That was an experience again. That made her to be more attentive to all the road signs.

In fact, when she went for the driving test for the second time, she was much more confident than the first time. That paid off very well too. She was all smiles at the end of the test. Her instructor gave her warm hug for doing well. She was all set then to enjoy driving a car, a classic car too. The instructor did not forget to remind her to be always defensive in driving.
