Well school is out and I am turning 16 next week. I overheard my Mom and Dad talking about looking for an auto for me for my 16th birthday. Yes, I was ease dropping, but stopped cold in my tracks when I heard the word auto. No one in this day and age uses the word auto. Get with it, Mom and Dad. It is a car, not an auto. Oh well, they are not in the in crowd as most parents are, but that is good. At least, I can’t get out of hand, and get into trouble.

I was still listening to them talking about the auto, or I mean car, and they were talking about insurance for me. If I just had it on my own car, it would be less expensive, they figured. Something they were going to look into. They knew I would have to have full coverage insurance, no matter what car I drove. I decided to go back upstairs and google insurance to see what I could find. I remember taking the course of Driver’s Ed, we had a full chapter on insurance. That was the chapter we were suppose to talk to our parents about how much insurance they covered on their cars, or trucks, or whatever they drove.

How well I remember that course during last semester! The instructor was so funny; I would swear he was a comedian instead of being a driving instructor. But when he tapped his pencil on the desk, you knew you had to listen or else. That class was not all fun and games part of the time, but he is an instructor I would love to have again for any class.

I remember half of the class just laughed when he started about automatic driving schools! We covered that in a chapter, and half of the people were still talking about after class. Many of us stayed after class just to find out. Are you wondering what an automatic driving school is? That is a class where they have these cars up on the screen and you pretend you are behind the wheel, and driving. Well not for sure, if that is exactly what it is, but that is what I learned in class.

Well, wish me luck on finding a car for my 16th birthday, and of course I have to have insurance on the car.
